Senior Finance Analyst (SFA) , reporting directly to Japan R&D Finance Controller (Sr. Manager). This position requires a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate strong operational and strategic financial leadership capabilities while deeply engaging in Pharma R&D business processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide financial insight and analysis to business partners to support better business decisions, including evaluating business cases for development projects and cost benchmarking
Lead Business Planning process (Annual Business Plan, Forecasts/Updates, etc.) and continuously improve forecast accuracy through deep understanding of R&D processes/projects
Collaborate with business partners to continuously drive process improvements and efficiency
Own timely and accurate accounting & management reporting for quarter-end / year-end closing, collaborating with teams in multiple functions/locations
Ensure adherence to SOX, WWP's, internal policies and procedures as well as supporting compliance activities including internal/external audits
Drive key global finance initiatives such as new ERP integration and digital reporting tool deployment

Qualifications

Qualifications -

Education:

University Degree (Must). (Preferable: completed higher Accounting or Business Economics related education, at Master level / J-CPA / US-CPA / CMA or equivalent)
Fluent in Japanese and business level English (TOEIC above 800)

Experience and Skills:

More than 5 years of accounting/controlling experience, preferably in a role with international contacts
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence personnel across functions and levels
Experience in a business partnership role, with the ability to understand complex business dynamics and navigate matrix organization
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Project management/costing experience would be a great asset
