General Summary / 職務概要
This is a newly created position to join the team to architect the future of JJ Vision. He/She is tasked with driving the mid to long-term strategy and defining growth opportunities in the next-generation vision care business and expansion to new eye health spaces. He/She will shape the global agenda by feeding Japan’s regional voice into the global strategy team. This role will be the global facing for the Global Strategy and New business team, as well as the Next-generation Vision Correction solution lead in the Global strategic marketing team.
Duties & Responsibilities / 職務および職責
² Leads the BD activities of new disease spaces in Japan including high-quality and timely delivery of 3-5+ years of business cases(P&L, B&S, Cashflow) integrating regulatory input, market access input, competitive landscape, and developing a convincing investment story to the stakeholders.
² (Organic) Develop new ideas and plan and implement agile PoC. Develop a roll-out plan based on the PoC results to hand to the relevant department for the activation
² (In-organic) Lead the BD projects including acquisition and partnership as a project lead by forming a project team with both internal and external members, gaining approval from the internal stakeholders, and negotiating a deal with potential external business partners
² Delivers regional patient / commercial insights enabling ideation of new solution concepts and lines of business in the pre-GNPP phase for Vision Care Japan.
² Maintains up-to-date knowledge for Japan market of new assets, disease areas, and technologies in the eye disease space.
² Supports local external collaboration opportunities with tech holders and academia through preparing and facilitating meetings in support of business case development, detailed planning, and delivery phases.
² Cultivates cross-company relationships for support of transactions to access priority opportunities.
Qualifications

Professional and Academic Experiences
² A minimum of a relevant bachelor’s degree is required. MBA is a plus.
² Experience in building strategy and business cases for new opportunities including forecasting, resourcing, analytics, financial statements, and market overview, and experience in new business development and launch are strongly preferred
² Commercial experience preferred with a proven track record of working within highly matrixed environments and cross-functional teams
Skills & Competencies
² Strong conceptual thinking and clear storytelling skillset
² Passion for new ideas/innovation and a strong drive to move forward new initiatives from a blanc sheet
² Good comprehension level of consumer insight and external market trend
² Business-level English both written and spoken
² Negotiation, influencing, organizational, project management, and analytical skills
² Experience in communicating and influencing a broad variety of business leaders, both internally and externally is preferred.
² Experience in cross-functional, cross-culture, or cross-geography exposure preferred
