Janssen Research & Development, LLC discovers and develops creative large molecule solutions to address important unmet medical needs in oncology, immunology, neuroscience, infectious diseases and vaccines, and cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. PAT is a necessity for the transition to real-time release (RTR) and continuous bio-manufacturing in the future, enabling rapid data collection and analysis for key process parameters with the goal of bioprocess understanding & optimization. The technology integrates a broad spectrum of sensors, spectrometers, automation and multivariate data analysis.

We are seeking a highly motivated co-op student to supply to evaluating our diverse technologies facilitating our pipeline to support clinical studies. This is an excellent opportunity to apply science and engineering to sophisticated analytics in PAT.

In this role, you will:

  • Work as part of a distributed team but primarily responsible for assessing and developing PAT methods supporting biotherapeutics development with accuracy and robustness.
  • Develop and or optimize a detailed framework to implement appropriate analytical technologies and methods for various bio-reaction desirable levels.
  • Learn new skills and interacting with a global workforce and culture.
  • Gain experience and understanding of the biologic’s development process at the same time building the future for how we apply PAT tools to pave the way toward the next generation of digital bio-manufacturing.
