Johnson & Johnson Technology seeks a Software Asset Management (SAM) analyst that will make significant contributions in its SAM program, which it provides as a shared service to the J&J family of companies. The candidate will collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and Software Platform team members to grow and carry out governance policies that are in place to mitigate compliance risk and maximize return on investment. In addition, the candidate will provide oversight and strategic direction to ensure that J&J’s contracts, application footprint and commercial spend are optimized (e.g., software license reclamation and right-sizing).

Job Description

  1. Report on the value of SAM activities – cost savings and cost avoidance tracking related to license optimization and contract renewals, conducting software download analyses, compiling both Ariba purchase and Flexera inventory reports
  2. Collaborate with the Merger & Acquisition team to assess software contract and licensing requirements to ensure compliance
  3. Leverage tools that facilitate SAM program advancement through software reporting, end user surveys and license reclamations, along with identifying new savings opportunities via automated contract analyses
  4. Own the Salesforce license governance process, collaborating with the business, finance, and technology colleagues to optimize the use of licenses through the quarterly management of swaps and monthly transfers
  5. Play an integral role in special projects that reduce expenses, gain efficiencies, and optimize processes
  6. Improve the SAM SharePoint site to increase team visibility and address self-service software licensing inquiries
  7. Assist with Request for Proposal prep, analysis, and review for selecting the SAM tool and Managed Service that will continue to elevate the program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 6 months of related experience, inclusive of internships and co-ops
  • Proven leadership skills, business insight, and technical skills
  • Highly effective communicator with outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn in a dynamic environment
  • Collaborative Team Player
  • Proficient in MS Office with emphasis on Excel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $72,250 to $85,000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
