Reporting to: Sr. Supervisor - Maintenance

Location: Leiden, Netherlands

Role Summary:

Under the direction of the Sr. Supervisor Maintenance, the technician supports Productions by performing scheduled and unplanned maintenance on building and machinery at the Mentor Medical System Leiden Site. Independently locates and eliminates faults to equipment and plant. Also responsible for cleaning and maintenance of equipment as required. Cooperates in the field of process improvements and special projects.

The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:

Under the supervision of the Sr. Supervisor Maintenance and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

General Duties:

• Perform activities as per the applicable

• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

• Keep track of administration (planning and priorities) on maintenance and repairs.

• Cooperate in implementing improvements in the manufacturing process.

Technical Duties:

• Executes preventive maintenance.

• Maintenance and repair of machines, installations, and buildings.

• Support in the field of tool manufacture.

• Support in root cause investigation and eliminates faults to all applicable equipment and tools.

• Independently carry out the breakdown service.

• Review and evaluates overall effectiveness of maintenance programs and process operations.

• Anticipates maintenance problems associated with installation of manufacturing equipment and other utility equipment.

• Support Facilities/Sodexo during outside office hours with magnehelic monitoring, calling Sodexo hotline in case of emergencies etc.

• Support Calibration/Validation with verifications and technical aspects during day-to-day work

• Support Engineering during validations, process optimizations and improvements.

Safety and Quality Duties:

• Ensures permits are maintained in compliance with GMPs, safety and health regulations.

• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

• For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.

• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Performs other duties assigned as needed.

o Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

o For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

o Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

o Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have the following requirements:

• Secondary Vocational Education (direction Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).

• VCA (Full)

• NEN 3140

Required Experience:

• Up to 2 – 4 years of experience in maintenance in a medical device’s environment is preferred.

• Advanced computer skills and use of software application(s). Strong computer background (MS Office, MS project Management, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, Minitab, Maximo)

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple commitments and technical problem-solving ability.

• Ability to shift priorities according to changes in department/facility needs and be open to different ideas/approaches.

• Relevant and proven experience in a similar function includes:

o Electric (electrical engineering)

o Mechanical

o Pneumatic

o Hydraulic

o Problem research technique (troubleshooting)
