Rate of Pay: $145,808.30 - $155,808.30

Job Duties: Support the development of the Monarch Platform for future medical applications by coordinating technical efforts across various disciplines. Test and characterize the system for functionality, performance, and reliability during the development phase while collaborating closely with robotic/mechatronic, software, and instrument engineers. Assist with system integration activities, including diagnosing and troubleshooting the Monarch Platform on a subsystem and system level. Conduct and document formal verification activities including test development, execution, and report generation. Develop test methods to properly calibrate, characterize, and verify the system design. Conduct and document formal and informal engineering studies throughout the design process to help understand and improve the state of the design. Build prototypes and fixtures for data acquisition and analysis. Perform design reviews and failure mode analyses. Support clinical labs for user validation activities and cadaveric studies. Lead and mentor a small team for final features on a project basis.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical or related Engineering field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires experience with:

1. Medical device industry or research environment;

2. Designing test methods and scripts using MATLAB and Python;

3. Applying computer vision and image processing algorithms to improve fluidics performance;

4. Analyzing system data to find metrics and root cause faults;

5. Writing test methods, engineering studies and technical reports to document results; and

6. Working in a regulated environment in compliance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
