As a Sr. Engineer Cloud Operations in the storage infrastructure as a Service organization, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Storage Engineer and Operations, this global role will be responsible for third level and above engineering engagement providing end-to-end operational support of the on-premises and hybrid-cloud based storage infrastructure. This role is uniquely positioned to leverage engineering expertise across block and unstructured data storage technologies to deliver outstanding infrastructure services and provide our business an outstanding experience. The position requires a person who can think about storage but also the technologies that leverage the storage infrastructure through strong collaboration across storage, virtualization, compute, and cloud teams. In addition to strong technical skills this role requires engagement and partnering with the infrastructure managed service provider and business partners alike to drive service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure ongoing operational soundness of the storage infrastructure taking actions that may require widespread changes to the storage environment.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts across the storage infrastructure to maintain an outstanding business experience.
- Operationalize new and/or upgraded storage technologies to ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and to meet all regional and global standards and regulations.
- Provide storage engineering level (L3 or higher) during business-critical incidents and manage the reliability process related to the incident outcome.
- Be a technology partner for the storage managed service provider providing technical and process guidance to ensure their effective delivery of services.
- Develop and administer automation capabilities to enhance supportability, reduce errors and reduce time to deliver to the business.
- Develop dashboards using analytics driven insights around infrastructure availability, compliance, and standards.
- Evaluate and introduce new capabilities to increase operational effectiveness.
- Be an ambassador of storage technologies to other infrastructure teams and business teams to provide groundbreaking solutions.
- After hours support of major incident when required.
Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer Science, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Seven plus years of experience in an engineering and operations capacity supporting a global enterprise business level infrastructure is required.
- Experience as a subject matter expert for SAN technologies such as Brocade Fiber Channel switch, HPE 3PAR/Primera, Dell PowerFlex is required, and/or other SAN technology solutions.
- Knowledge of the NAS technologies related to NetApp products running Data OnTap cluster, and in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required, and/or equivalent large enterprise NAS solution.
- Understanding of virtualization, server OS, network and other technologies is required.
- Understanding of cloud related storage technologies across all major hyper-scalers is preferred.
- Experience working in a DevOps or Scrum methodology is required.
- Experienced with the use of Service Now is required.
- Self-starter with strong teamwork abilities and customer service skills is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,200.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
