The Associate Director, Global Market Research is responsible for leading and delivering key strategic insights to support decision making through primary and secondary market research. This role serves as the “voice of the customer” and translate "customer learning" into actionable recommendations based on key insights. This role will partner closely with the Global Commercial Leads to shape global commercial development strategies for the Cell Therapies and B-Cell/Myeloid Portfolios in Oncology.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Conduct qualitative and quantitative global primary market research.
· Develop and execute market research plans. Ensure alignment with Global and Regional stakeholders.
· Articulate, frame and effectively communicate insights, risks and opportunities. Recommend actions.
· Identify data/insight gaps. Perform market research to help inform those gaps.
· Partner with the Global Commercial leaders in optimizing commercial development strategies.
· Work collaboratively with the marketing team(s) as well as other cross-company and cross-functional partners, including Business Development.
· Facilitate and lead discussions with cross-functional teams regarding implications and relevant recommendations based on the insights generated from primary and secondary research and other analyses.
Qualifications
· A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
· A minimum of 8 years of progressive business experience is required in relevant areas such as Marketing, Market Research, Quantitative Sciences, Business Analytics, Competitive Intelligence and Business Development.
· Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
· Primary market research experience is required.
· Experience in Oncology is preferred.
· Experience in CAR-T is preferred.
Other requirements
· Strong communication skills and storytelling capability.
· Strong learning agility to quickly establish a sound understanding of the disease areas and relevant product-specific clinical data.
· Sound business acumen, and ability to validate business assumptions, discuss business and marketing strategies with commercial leads.
· A passion for detail as well as analysis of data from high-level view with a natural ability to look at the “total picture”.
· Strong ability to “cut through” the noise, validate root cause directly with commercial leads, and strategically sums up context and recommendations.
The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
