We're looking for a Test & Evaluation Supervisor to oversee test engineering and operations for a suite of novel uncrewed system development efforts. This role involves collaboration with program leaders and various teams to innovate and set new industry standards for test and evaluation. The role will be responsible for planning, coordination, execution and reporting on all facets of the test program, and managing a small but agile team of test engineers and specialists.
The Test and Evaluation team at Anduril works across the entire spectrum of products and business lines, as well as all maritime, air, and land-based operations and test range management. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage a team that will plan and execute full system level test and evaluation of hardware and software with emphasis placed on resource planning, test asset and supplier management, initial issue investigation, and process improvement/development.
- Lead the integration process of various subsystems, including sensors, communication systems, and autonomy software.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to the integration and test team, including task assignment and scheduling.
- Implement and maintain processes for maintaining configuration control, version control, documentation and overall safety throughout the entire development and test cycle
- Work closely with program management and other engineering department leads to develop requirements, communicate test campaign schedule and progress, establish test campaign gates and milestones, and discuss test results to include collected data and observations.
- Collaborate with external partners or customers in the integration and test phases, addressing their requirements and ensuring successful integration of their payloads into host vehicles, and of the system into the overall mission lifecycle
- Work within a dynamic team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists throughout the life of product design, integration, and test efforts
- Participate in requirements analysis and system verification planning to ensure compliance with project goals and industry standard
- Oversee test data collection efforts and perform initial data analysis for the system under test.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- A genuine interest and 10+ years experience in systems engineering, integration and testing
- 5+ years of experience as a test conductor/test director for developmental systems on small and large robotic aircraft to include requirements development, test planning and execution, and test reporting
- Experience with system engineering or Department of Defense (DoD) program processes, (EVM, MIL-STD-881, etc.)
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
- Must have a complete understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and, expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties.
- Previous expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations thereof.
- Strong computer and documentation experience, to include experience with Linux and command line interfaces as well as software debugging
- Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.

- Ability to immediately obtain a U.S. Top Secret-Level security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working Knowledge with COTS Small UAS autopilot and mission planning software.
- Previous experience with and/or current working knowledge of MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, AS8775, AS5653, etc.
- Experience with Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft.
- Experience working with manned aircraft personnel and familiar with aviation terminology.
- Experience with tactical datalinks.
- Experience with multiple different propulsion systems to include air and non-air breathing, hybrid powertrains.
