ABOUT THE TEAM
The Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (ARMS) team is on a mission to build next generation solid rocket motors for a safer, more connected world. To achieve our vision of becoming a large-volume provider of tactical rocket motors, we will develop differentiated products and services that maximize our customers’ capabilities, and we will establish and maintain a reputation of Quality and Reliability.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for supporting a large, multi-building site focusing on a wide variety of operational functions. This role will have a broad range of duties and responsibilities including mechanical, electrical, and digital. If you enjoy overcoming challenges of all scales and taking initiative and ownership to facilitate rapid growth, reliability, and continuous improvement, this is the role for you. You will be expected to work on-site with periodic business travel.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Maintenance Management
- Coordinate daily maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of infrastructure systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and elevators.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of facilities.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Conduct regular facility inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Deliver health and safety training to staff and ensure that all safety protocols are rigorously followed.
Space Optimization
- Analyze and manage space requirements, recommending and executing improvements for better efficiency.
- Coordinate internal moves and relocations to minimize disruptions to operations.
Contract and Vendor Management
- Oversee the performance of third-party vendors, ensuring services meet agreed-upon standards and timelines.
- Coordinate with departmental leadership for scheduling availability.
Budget Control
- Prepare detailed budgets for facility expenditures, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Monitor spending against budget, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay updated on relevant legislation affecting facility operations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
- Manage the documentation and record-keeping for all compliance-related activities.
Emergency Response Planning
- Assist the Manager in developing comprehensive emergency and disaster preparedness plans, including evacuation and business continuity strategies.
- Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure staff readiness in case of an emergency.
Sustainability Initiatives
- Lead and promote sustainability projects to reduce the environmental impact of the facility, such as waste reduction programs and energy efficiency improvements.
Project Oversight:
- Manage all facility-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for vendors during construction or renovation projects.
Vendor Relations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key contractors and service providers.
- Regularly assess vendor performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, and manage the facilities team, setting objectives and reviewing performance to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages proactive problem-solving and innovation.
Communication
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff regarding facility operations and projects.
- Prepare regular reports for management detailing progress and issues related to facilities management.
Technology Oversight
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of building management systems and ensure their effective integration with IT infrastructure.
- Stay informed about new technologies and industry trends that could benefit the facility's operations.
Asset Management
- Maintain an asset management system to track the value, condition, and maintenance requirements of all facility assets.
- Schedule and oversee the replacement or upgrading of outdated or inefficient equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field or 5-10 years of facilities management experience.
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Good analytical/critical thinking.
- Strong project management skills.
- Familiarity with building management systems and office software, including MS Office.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
