ABOUT THE ROLE
Anduril’s Hardware Engineering Team is looking for a leader for its PNT, RF, & Comms team! You will work with a team of talented electrical and systems engineers to develop the capabilities which allow our autonomous vehicles and systems to communicate and navigate (even in challenging environments). In addition to supporting the immediate PNT and RF needs of Anduril’s family of robotic systems, we’re looking for an individual who can lead strategic design efforts to ensure that Anduril has the edge in the Comms and Navigation domains.
What you’ll do
- Lead an electrical engineering team in developing PNT, RF, & Comms solutions for Anduril’s autonomous systems
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop the strategy for designing and rolling out your comms solutions in a scalable manner
- Represent PNT, RF, & Comms subsystems in trade studies to define and optimize the design of Anduril’s vehicles and systems
- Create, maintain, and communicate product development schedules with sufficient detail to ensure all assigned personnel are aware of their tasks and deadlines.
- Proactively research and develop PNT, RF, & Comms solutions, including APNT
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years experience developing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical designs in the PNT or RF domains
- Experience leading a team of electrical or systems engineers focused on PNT, RF, or Comms based solutions
- Familiarity with RF applications such as man portable radio communications, RF LRUs, SATCOM, and mesh networks
- Familiarity with PNT Solutions such as GNSS, DGPS, and Inertial Navigation solutions
- Familiarity with network infrastructure, protocols, and troubleshooting
- Familiar wit APNT solution, such as vision based navigation
- Experience with modeling and simulation of PNT, RF, or Comms systems
- Expertise with test equipment like vector network analyzers (VNAs), spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Systems integration experience
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding and familiarity with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810
- Understanding and familiarity with DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160
- Experience with Tactical Data Links (TADIL-J/LINK-16, VMF, SIMPLE, JREAP)
- Familiarity with fiber optic links and transceivers
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
