ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Regional Train and Advise Manager with deep cultural competence in the Asia-Pacific region. This unique role is designed for an operational leader who can seamlessly bridge command and staff level advising with hands-on technical deployment, integration, training, and operational support. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation, strategic adoption, and sustained utilization of our advanced Air Defense and Counter-Intrusion systems across critical stakeholders throughout the region. Leveraging extensive regional knowledge, established networks, cross-cultural communication, and comfort with technology, you will advise senior leadership on the effective employment of autonomous systems, foster essential relationships, and contribute to successful rapid deployment, integration, and mission planning of Anduril’s family of systems. This role demands a rare blend of diplomatic acumen, proven experience building effective partner relationships, and train the trainer competency.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Training & Adoption:
- Facilitate delivery of comprehensive, multi-leveled technical training, including Train the Trainer courses, specifically tailored for militaries within the Asia-Pacific context, including end-users, operational staff, and senior leaders.
- Provide insight on user organizational structures, mission requirements, planning processes, CONOPs, and workflows to drive accelerated integration and operational employment of cutting edge technology.
- Conduct operational needs assessments to identify specific training requirements, operational gaps, and opportunities for enhanced and expanded system utilization.
- Guide creation and localization of culturally appropriate technical training materials, operational playbooks, documentation, quick-start guides, and troubleshooting resources in relevant regional languages.
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions to ensure high levels of comprehension, skill transfer, and operational proficiency.
- Track key adoption metrics, capture and analyze user feedback, and support continuous improvement of training content and delivery methods to maximize impact and user proficiency.
2. Broad Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development:
- Cultivate relationships with critical stakeholders, including military leadership, staff, and end users.
- Serve as a trusted liaison facilitating effective communication and collaboration between Anduril and regional entities, from senior decision-makers to technical operators.
- Proactively identify opportunities that can enhance user’s successful adoption and deployment of Anduril Air Defense and Counter-Intrusion systems.
3. Operational Advising
- Provide ongoing advisory support and mentorship to regional users and partners, ensuring sustained adoption, optimization, and expert utilization of Air Defense and Counter-Intrusion systems.
- Advise user leadership and staff on mission planning, CONOP, SOP, and TTP development related to employment of Anduril Air Defense and Counter-Intrusion systems.
- Identify emerging opportunities, potential risks, and evolving operational requirements within the Asia-Pacific landscape that could impact program success or require proactive mitigation.
- Act as a subject matter expert for user adoption in Asia-Pacific, ensuring cultural sensitivity, regional appropriateness, and strategic alignment in all engagements and technical solutions.
4. Technical Field Operations & System Integration:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for users in the field, understanding their operational challenges and requirements.
- Support the rapid deployment of hardware and software systems in austere, remote, and operationally demanding environments across the region.
- Gather detailed user feedback from customers, translating these into clear, actionable specifications for internal engineering and product development teams.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure successful program execution and maximum uptime in critical operations.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Mission Operations, Technical Operations, Product, Engineering, Growth) to ensure regional requirements, operational feedback, and critical technical insights are accurately incorporated into pre-deployment site surveys, product roadmaps, engineering sprints, and service offerings.
- Champion the voice of the Asia-Pacific user internally, advocating for solutions that meet their unique demands and technical constraints.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrable experience operating within the Asia-Pacific region, with a significant portion in a train and advise, liaison, field engineering, system integration, and/or foreign engagement capacity.
- Extensive experience navigating complex interagency, international, and cross-cultural environments, with an emphasis on defense related train and advise support to foreign militaries.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining high-level relationships with government, military, and operators in Asia-Pacific, including experience briefing GS-15 / O-6 level or above on operational and strategic matters.
- Experience leading and conducting training for militaries in the region.
- Fluency in one or more major Asia-Pacific languages (e.g., Mandarin Chinese or Japanese).
- Familiarity with training design, delivery, and dynamic presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Asia-Pacific region and internationally.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a foreign area officer, military advisory group, or other security cooperation element.
- Expertise in Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) principles and capabilities.
- Experience with Air Defense technology including autonomous systems, advanced C2 systems, electronic warfare.
- Experience with hands-on technical deployment, integration, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems.
- Formal education in engineering, security studies, international relations or other related field.
- Completion of military exchange at a national command and staff college in the region.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
