About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales team. The SDR will play a crucial role in generating pipeline by identifying and qualifying potential leads, creating opportunities through active prospecting, and contributing to the overall success of our sales efforts. This is an exciting position with ample room for career growth and advancement within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation:
  • Research and identify potential customers through various data sources, including sales intelligence data systems, online research, social media, and industry events.
  • Utilize prospecting tools and techniques to build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads. Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, GovWin, GovSpend, SAM.gov, and other similar tools preferred.
  • Travel (up to 25%) to attend field conferences and events when requested by Sales Executives to assist in lead generation and follow-up.
Outreach and Qualification:
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and other forms of communication to engage with prospects.
  • Qualify leads based on defined criteria and gather relevant information to pass on to the sales team.
Market and Product Knowledge:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and our product/service offerings to effectively communicate value propositions to potential clients.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads and provide valuable insights into customer needs and preferences.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with leads and customers in the CRM system.
  • Generate regular reports on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and other key performance metrics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Previous experience in sales development.
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and SEP systems (Outreach)
