About the Role:

As a Principal Engineer in our team, you will play a crucial role in leading and mentoring our talented team of infrastructure engineers to deliver high-quality infrastructure products that meet the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for development and maintenance of features within our product stack which is built ground up from the OS and includes Cloud Services, Edge Services and Portal (Web).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.

  • Design and implement system level components to provide compute and storage infrastructure on bare metal servers.

  • Architect, design, and develop infrastructure products and services including system administration, hardware engineering, network engineering and security engineering.

  • Lead design and implementation of DevOps practices including DevOps toolchain and automation, managing CI/CD pipelines, implementing automation frameworks, and integrating various DevOps tools for continuous integration, continuous delivery, configuration management, and monitoring.

  • Deliver Infrastructure provisioning and configuration management via infrastructure as code (IaC).

  • Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and enable development of Kubernetes-based solutions.

  • Assure security controls to achieve ISO-27001 Information security, and other global standards are implemented, rigorously maintained, and provide evidence in support of auditing requirements.

  • Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure utilizing SDN technologies.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure performance to ensure smooth operation under high loads.

  • Lead automation of infrastructure monitoring and logging including alerts about errors, security threats, or performance issues.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation including system architecture, network topology, developer guides.

  • Monitor and improve engineers’ productivity and provide training and development opportunities where required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 12+ years experience in infrastructure engineering with focus hybrid infrastructure architecture

  • Expertise in administration, configuration, optimization and monitoring of both Windows and Linux OS.

  • Strong technical background in cloud computing, with hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience delivering and operating in a HIPAA, ISO-27001, GDPR, or other regulated environment

  • Advanced knowledge of virtual network design, Internet protocols, and can trouble shoot complex network infrastructure

  • Programming/Language skills – Python, GO, Java, SQL, NoSQL, log query languages, or related

  • Ability to configure, administer, analyze performance, and monitor one or more large scale data systems including Relational DB, ELK, Mongo

  • Experience with virtual compute systems, Kubernetes, Docker containers; experience in Kubernetes administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting is preferred.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.

  • Knowledge of network virtualization technologies such as VMWare NSX, OpenStack, and Kubernetes.

  • Experience in AKS, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Argo CD

  • Experience with network troubleshooting and performance monitoring tools such as Wireshark and NetFlow.

  • In-depth understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

  • Experience with SAN, NAS Storage and Backup infrastructure

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and rapidly deep-dive and make technical decisions by staying abreast of advancements in related technologies.
