About the role
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures
- Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop automation for vulnerability analysis and management
- Configure and manage security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems
- Research and recommend security solutions to address identified risks
- Develop and maintain security architectures and designs
- Investigate and respond to security incidents
- Monitor and enforce compliance with security policies
- Collaborate with development teams to remediate code vulnerabilities and with the security team for sprint planning and security projects.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years experience as Security Engineer
- Expertise in application and network security
- Familiarity with GitHub for managing and reviewing code.
- Proficient in using vulnerability scanners such as Nexpose and Nessus.
- Knowledge of Python and SQL for scripting and database analysis.
- Familiarity with Azure environments is preferred.
