COMSEC Security Specialist
We are seeking a highly capable COMSEC Security Specialist at our company. You will be acting as the COMSEC account manager for multiple contracts with the Government.
Our ideal COMSEC Security Specialist will be someone who has an extensive background in implementing Communication Security programs that include key management systems and hardware security to protect secure information. This role will report to the Vice President of Software and Cybersecurity.
Role:
- Ensure COMSEC accounts are in strict compliance with physical security, COMSEC record keeping, and proper handling of and storage of classified keying material policy and procedures.
- Responsible for receipt, storage, inventory, transfer, and destruction of all classified COMSEC material, cryptographic key, and control cryptographic items.
- Manages the five elements of the COMSEC operations, which include: Cryptographic Security, Transmission Security (TRANSEC), Physical Security, Emission Security (EMSEC), and Traffic Flow Security.
- Collaborates with other security and I.T. positions including the Facility Security Officer supporting US Government programs.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years serving as a COMSEC account manager either in the US military or private industry.
- Must have an active TopSecret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication by a determining authority.
- Must have a KMI course certificate.
- Must have a Standardized COMSEC Custodian course certificate.
Bonus:
- Experience serving as an Facility Security Office (FSO) or Alternate FSO (AFSO)
- Completion of standardized FSO training course (e.g., FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities).
- Demonstrated knowledge of NISPOM and DCSA security requirements.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
