Facilities Manager
This role is the operational leader of all building systems at our primary San Francisco facility. You will lead the team responsible for the day-to-day execution of all site operations. Your mission is to ensure the highest level of operational uptime and safety for our satellite production and workplace environments. You will be responsible for managing site-level projects, developing the technical skills of your team, and ensuring our core facility runs with excellence.
Role
- Lead the facilities team, managing the day-to-day execution of maintenance, repairs, and operations for our production, R&D, and office spaces.
- Execute site-level projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget, utilizing both internal and external resources.
- Own the operational readiness of all critical infrastructure, including clean rooms, RF labs, production lines, and the supporting M&P systems.
- Implement and refine preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.
- Champion our site safety program, ensuring daily compliance with all OSHA regulations and fostering a culture of safety on the floor.
- Set up and maintain proper disposal/treatment processes for various hazardous waste streams.
- Develop and mentor a team of facilities technicians and engineers, building their technical skills and career paths.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a facilities operations role within a technical environment such as manufacturing or R&D.
- Proven experience leading a technical team responsible for hands-on operational tasks.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial infrastructure, including high-power electrical systems, generators, battery backup systems, HVAC, fire suppression systems, and process gases/fluids.
- Ability to use forklifts, boom lifts, cranes, large trucks, and other heavy machinery.
Bonus
- Experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Experience with creating and managing maintenance schedules using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and experience implementing safety protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to interpret and maintain floor layouts and one line electrical schematics.
