Overall Responsibilities 

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the system level design and integration of capital equipment products that consist of electrical and electro-mechanical subsystems. In this position you will own the architecture, requirements definition and systems integration of multiple products. The candidate will be a natural problem solver and will contribute to all aspects of the new product development process. You will provide technical leadership in systems architecture, definition, integration, and systems engineering processes across a variety of skilled SME.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the systems engineering team as the technical team lead.
  • Collaborates across mechanical, electrical, software, and cybersecurity systems engineers and SMEs to create robust product architectures.
  • Architects’ software and electrical designs of highly complex medical capital modules
  • Ensure systems design and documentation meet all safety and regulatory compliance, and IEC standards for medical devices.
  • Develop detailed product requirements, engineering specifications, system architecture, detailed component specifications, verification and validation test protocols and reports.
  • Leads the standardization and harmonization of MBSE techniques cross the systems engineering organization.
  • Collaborate across internal organizations and external partners as part of the multi-functional technical team.

Qualifications

Education & Required Skills/Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related science/ engineering degree with a minimum of (6) years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong electrical design and analysis skills, including an understanding of electrical systems and subsystems and how it interacts with the overall system design.
  • Track record of delivering solutions with complex systems and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience translating high-level customer needs into technical options, analyzing the tradeoffs, and driving to solutions.
  • A results and performance driven demeanor with strong sense of accountability.

Preferred Skills & Experiences:

  • Experience with Electrical Safety Standard such as IEC 60601.
  • Experience working with system-level tools and processes used for requirements management, risk management, or issue tracking.
  • Experience as a systems engineer bringing capital equipment through the development lifecycle, from concept to release.
  • Experience writing requirements documents and design specifications.
  • Experience with capital equipment or medical devices

Other:

  • This position is based in Cincinnati, OH and requires up to 15% travel.
