The Contracts Specialist is responsible managing the administration and workflow of a high volume of contracts for Abiomed’s operations. This position is based at Abiomed’s headquarters in Danvers, MA, and will report to the Director, Senior Corporate Counsel and will work closely with the Contracts Manager. The ideal candidate has experience in procurement and contracts management. As a valued partner to the business, the Contracts Specialist requires effective communication skills with both internal and external clientele.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Managing the lifecycle workflow of contracts from the intake of procurement request through signatures and repository filing.

·        Fully utilizing Abiomed’s contract lifecycle management, LinkSquares, to perform administrative and clerical functions.

·        Negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements and Master Service Agreements to support Research and Development.

·        Assess contract redlines to identify issues to elevate for additional or specified input from the Legal Team.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

·        3+ years’ experience in contracts management and/or procurement.

·        Bachelor’s Degree.

·        Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) skills. 

·        Familiarity with a Contract Lifecycle Management system preferred.

·        Strong contract technical skills and attention to detail.

·        Organization and prioritization skills to effectively manage timelines and multiple projects.

·        Ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely electronically and orally.

·        Ability to excel, quickly adapt, and remain positive in a dynamic, multi-function and rapidly changing environment.

This role is also eligible for a competitive bonus that is based off employee’s performance and can be accelerated based off results.
