Summary:

The Division Planning Lead have overall accountability of end-to-end planning including demand, supply and distribution planning for responsible division(s):

• Maintain trust relationships and effective communication with customer facing functions to well capture market intelligence, to best anticipate, sense and shape demand; Guide the team in setting up a balanced supply & distribution plan which considers operations efficiency, stock cost, positive cash flow and customer service.

• Closely collaborate with relative JSC global functions (PCM, MTO, etc.) and JSC APAC, proactively manage the product supply plan and any potential supply risks.

• Working closely with local and global key stakeholders, foresee regulation & policy changes, the impact to product supply, proactively manage the potential risk.

• Division planning team management and people development

• As leadership team member of JSC China EtE team, partner with other business peers to contribute and driving the overall EtE supply chain performance improvement. Contribute for JSC China strategy development and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

This position will report to Janssen Supply chain China E2E lead and focus on below key area:

Demand Management

• Responsible for demand planning strategy development and updates

• Conduct monthly Demand Consensus Process to generate a demand consensus forecast by assessment of demand planning data and alignment with regional and global strategic inputs

• Validate and Approve Demand Plan

Supply & Inventory management

• Overall accountability of the execution of the supply net requirement panning and distribution planning and related products planning master data management.

• Guide the team in setting up a balanced plan which considers operations efficiency, stock cost and customer service.

• Create and maintain relationships, internally and externally, to interpret demand and inventory requirements and respond with the right inventory, products, and delivery to meet customer requirements.

• Proactively monitoring sales performance, potential supply risk/ SLOB risk and drive mitigation plan.

Others

• Planning team management, people development & coaching

• As leadership team member of JSC China EtE team, contribute for JSC China strategy development and execution; partner with other business peers to contribute and driving the overall EtE supply chain performance improvement.

• Play the role of gatekeeper with affiliates/commercial/regional/global partners to have the most accurate demand information and supply information available as input to IBP process. Participate in IBP Process including analysis of market/product intelligence, partnering with x-functions team to allow for transparency of risks and opportunity through supply-demand balancing, support and attend reconciliation and executive IBP forums.

Qualifications

Education:

• University Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. MBA or equivalent preferred.

• Specific knowledge

• Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) desirable

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• 10+ Years related experience

Experience Guidelines:

• Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with relevant legislation – e.g., Import/ Export legislation, GMP, ISO requirements is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities:

• Ability to develop, coach and lead a team of planners and team leads in the execution, strategies, and realization of departmental and company goals.

• Ability to coach & develop accountable, diverse, and global leaders who inspire and motivate others.

• Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships, leading cross functional/ virtual teams where required.

• Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.

• Ability to influence at all levels both within the supply chain, with commercial & other key cross functional partners, in a matrix environment.

• Ability to drive & apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements to large and complex projects.

• Understanding of the forecasting techniques. Very analytically skilled, need to understand the statistics behind the models.

• Uses in-depth knowledge of analysis and problem-solving techniques.

• Strong business acumen – Deeply understands the business; portfolio, markets, customers, challenges, demands.

Others:

• Approximately 10% annual travel may be required.

• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English as a must
