The Facility Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple Facility and Construction projects as Abiomed grows our footprint and capacity. The Project Manager will have regular interaction with Operations leadership, external and internal facility and construction customers.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide project management for upcoming expansion projects, including Peabody Logistics center, new manufacturing space and upgrade of current logistics space to enable additional seating capacity.
  • Liaison with external construction managers
  • Track facility and EH&S projects related to J&J Integration improvements
  • Manage other projects as they arise in any of our US locations including Danvers, MA, Woburn, MA and Baltimore, MD
  • Prepare a weekly tracker and report for updates to the management team of all projects
  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of projects
  • Coordinate all purchase orders for projects and assure accurate invoicing to manage project budgets
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations as needed to assist the COO
  • Provide support on special projects, as well as provide assistance to all departmental colleagues

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of prior project management experience
  • Able to work independently and handle a wide variety of situations, including conflict resolution and troubleshooting issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, prioritization, time-management skills and attention to detail required
  • Must have strong initiative, self-motivation, high standards, and a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrate a professional, positive, and approachable demeanor in working and effectively communicating with a diverse group of people
  • Exercise discretion, judgment, tact and poise in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, as needed to support projects
