Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a MedTech Strategic Sourcing 2024 Co-Op, located in Raritan, New Jersey. The Co-Op term is for one year from January 2024 to December 2024.

The Direct Precision Materials (DPM) Strategic Sourcing Team in Raritan, NJ is focused on the development of strategic sourcing supplier strategies and execution to support the production of medical devices. The team coordinates with stakeholders in Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Regulatory, R&D, Product Management and suppliers to ensure a robust, innovative and competitive supply base is available to meet the needs of our customers and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a variety of initiatives and projects that ensure continuity of supply, competitive pricing (RFP – Request for Proposal), and category strategies are executed.

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to obtain voice of the customer , recommending opportunities to enhance programs or projects and support in the execution.

  • Analysis of data and drawing conclusions from the analysis will support the understanding and decisions on supplier strategies.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of various Corporate initiatives and become aware of the program requirements to support our goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, Purchasing, Procurement, Business Management or Engineering.

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Other:

  • Term: 1-year Co-op commitment (January 2024 to December 2024) and must be available to work full-time (40 hours/ week).

  • Candidate must be able to provide their own transportation to/ from this work location.

  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States, without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (i.e. H1-B status) now or in the future is required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills

  • Prioritization skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, with strong cross-functional and external stakeholder collaboration skills

  • Have a passion for improving healthcare

The anticipated base pay for this position is between $21.00 and $32.00, but will be based on candidate’s program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.
