Job description: Germany In Market Supply Chain Senior Planner

Position: within the Global Demand & In Market Supply Chain, part of Planning & Customer Management in the Janssen Supply chain (JSC) of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson

Tactical responsibilities:

- Captures tactical affiliate business opportunities and makes sure they are brought to the attention of JSC management organization.

- Acts as the local arm of JSC to deploy new added value initiatives aiming at increasing the market competitiveness of Janssen companies.

Operational responsibilities:

- Manages forecast and replenishment (using OMP) to European warehouses for approximately 150 SKUs, with a mix between Dynamic Champions, Core and Value Optimizers.

- Manages and plans timely and cost-effective supply of his/her portfolio based upon product life cycle stage and market demand variations.

- Manages New Artwork Implementation Planning and Expiry Date Planning

- Proactively alerts local company and EMEA about required escalations or potential supply chain disruptions. Follows up with corrective actions. Reports and explains stock-outs

- Communicates with manufacturing sites to ensure un-interrupted supply to the markets

- Supports, advises, and executes plans for New Product Introduction

- Supports, proposes, and executes plans for Product Portfolio Rationalization

- Collaborates with commercial and pricing to find solutions for increasing sales where there is excess stock, to avoid SLOB and destructions.

- Initiates repackaging to reduce destructions due to artwork (SLOB avoidance) when needed

- Initiates Sell by dates extensions to avoid stock out when needed

- Maintains Master Data Planning Parameters for ERP- and Planning System

- Monitors actual sales vs. forecast, and initiates dialogue with production when needed

- Monitors KPIs for his/her product portfolio, proposing and executing corrective actions

- Acts in compliance with Janssen policies for Compliance Wire & Summit trainings and Janssen Travel and Expenses guidelines

- Acts as the orchestrator of the On time and Full (OTIF-D) process in Germany

- Drives the Integrated Business Planning meetings with Commercial, Controllers and BI for alignment of the Consensus Demand Forecast and the financial plans. Reviews gaps between finance and consensus demand forecast. Discusses business assumptions with risks and opportunities expressed in units, net sales, and gross profit. Agrees how to close gaps and how to handle SKU mix issues .

- Provides insight to the EMEA monthly IBP cycle regarding market scenarios, business assumptions, risks, and opportunities

Qualifications

Competencies:

- Has a degree from university, minimum a B.Sc. or three years equivalent upper education

- Acts with integrity and assumes full responsibility for assigned tasks

- Has strong customer and patient focus

- Great E2E understanding and business acumen. Collaborates across functions and organizational levels to achieve better results for Janssen (R&D, Finance, Commercial Deliver, Business Quality, Regulatory, Customer Service, Pricing & Reimbursement, Market Access etc.)

- Excellent communication skills to be able to facilitate and drive meetings and discussions. Understands what information stakeholders need to make better decisions and communicates proactively and clearly at all levels in the organization

- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Takes initiative and acts in a pro-active way. Actively looks for opportunities to build new partnerships and networks. Represents Supply Chain in a professional manner and understand the importance of quick response times but also knows how and what to prioritize, especially under time pressure. Contributes to building credibility and respect of our function.

- Highly developed influencing skills. Influences strategic business decisions, involving LOC leadership teams, finance, commercial and others. Influences decisions based on solid E2E knowledge, expertise in Supply Chain and with E2E opportunities in mind

- Experience and skills in leadership, change management and project management

- Skilled in negotiation and make compromises with other functions to achieve the best possible outcome for Janssen, sometimes with trade-offs for own function

- Highly developed data mining skills in combination with an exceptional analytic mindset. Able to understand different theoretical statistical models and apply in forecasting and in decisions on what products to focus on. Able to understand and use prepared forward looking forecasting models based on correlation

- Has an open and curious mindset and happily shares and discusses ideas. Displays innovative thinking and ask questions to understand more and explore opportunities across organizational borders (Global, EMEA, LOC) to identify improvements in the flow of products to customers and patients

- Has the necessary IT skills (MS Office, SAP, OMP, Tableau, QlikView; Anaplan etc.)

- Important with solid Excel expertise

- Language skills: Englisch and German fluent
