In This Role You Will

  • Responsible for all testing activities on a subsystem and will coordinate broader activities as part of overall strategic vision
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing and Design teams to develop test processes used during the manufacturing of electro-mechanical components and subassemblies of a medical robotics system.
  • Design and document electro-mechanical manufacturing test fixtures applying both custom and off-the shelf hardware and software.
  • Develop of test algorithms, test scripts, data acquisition and measurement systems with focus on repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Perform failure analysis on electromechanical equipment
  • Automate test processes using in-house developed test software and scripts
  • Release engineering documentation and bill of materials
  • Contribute to all aspects of test development, coverage, drive execution and test results documentation.
  • Drive process characterization, validation and Test Method Validation
  • Provide detailed status and tracking of activities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related engineering field
  • Produce high quality documentation that is clearly understandable by internal and external personnel
  • Experience working on instrumentation automation and using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, SQL, Batch, Bash or Linux commands
  • Prior experience with test equipment and test fixture design
  • Ability to read schematics and perform electrical debug using oscilloscopes, DMMs, multi-meters
  • Strong understanding and experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to contract manufacturers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Oracle Agile
  • Experience in Medical Device industry
  • Intermediate understanding of electrical systems and power electronics
  • Intermediate understanding of mechanical systems

Other:

  • This position may require up to 10% travel
  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $101,000 to $162,725
