Health Care Compliance is a function that develops and implements efficient, effective, and sustainable programs to prevent and detect non-compliance with recognized legal and regulatory requirements. Our responsibilities include, but are not limited to developing and deploying policies and procedures; ensuring a sound understanding of the compliance requirements through appropriate training, communications, and other methods; exercising oversight by establishing and coordinating a program of testing, monitoring, self-assessment, and independent audit and review of the HCC program; driving management awareness, program efficiency, and continuous improvement through establishment and reporting of effective compliance measures.

 

The Health Care Compliance Summer Intern Program at Johnson & Johnson is a comprehensive learning and professional experience at one of the world’s leading health care companies. This program is designed to build a future pool of candidates for full-time entry-level Health Care Compliance Analyst roles, which a Summer Intern may pursue upon successfully completing the internship and their degree program.

 

Program Components

You will apply for one overall compliance intern position which will provide eligibility for specific department opportunities across HCC functions. The average duration for the internship is 8 weeks of full-time work. Position offers the option to work remotely, however if the applicant can work in one of the primary locations 2-3 days a week, that is preferred. Your position may involve a range of compliance assignments and may include experiences with one or more of the following departments:

 

Health Care Compliance (HCC)

 

In this role, the candidate may be engaged in an Enterprise, Operating Company (MedTech or Pharmaceuticals) Health Care Compliance, and/or Specialty Compliance (Government and/or Regulatory Advertising and Promotion) Program, which is comprised of key compliance elements that drive and maintain a compliant culture across Johnson & Johnson. They will provide support against some of these elements including, but not limited to: Risk assessment, Policy development, Communications, Training development and delivery, Monitoring of business activities, Corrective Action, and Compliance Committee meetings. They will also help shape and influence the program by completing projects crafted to identify risks, improve the effectiveness of existing controls, and build efficiency through innovative data-gathering tools, data analytics, and creative visualization.

Qualifications

Successful Summer Interns are required to:

  • Have permanent work authorization in the US. We cannot consider students requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Commit to a June 10, 2024 – August 2, 2024 internship timeframe.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, reflective of all college coursework.
  • Be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree and must be a rising junior or senior.
  • In a hybrid model working remotely as required, which requires having access to functioning and reliable internet connection at all times.
  •  Work full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Have experience with MS Office Tools.

  • Display a detailed, highly organized approach and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work from one of the primary locations.
  • Knowledge or experience with visualization tools and data analytics.

    The anticipated base pay for this position is Sophomore $21 /hr, Junior $22/hr, Senior $23/hr, Master’s degree $29hr.  : but will be based on candidate’s program year, discipline, degree and/or experience;
