You will
Be the founding member of the Data & Reporting team, building the data infrastructure and analytics capabilities that power Basic Capital's business intelligence, compliance, and customer communications
Design and build data pipelines that transform raw operational data into actionable insights for business stakeholders
Own the automation of critical compliance reporting, notices, and regulatory submissions
Develop and maintain customer-facing reporting systems including monthly account statements, performance analytics, and portfolio insights
Build and maintain our data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization
Participate in architecture discussions, planning, and code reviews across the stack
Required Competencies
Strong experience with data pipeline development and ETL/ELT workflows
Proficiency with SQL and experience designing data models for analytics and reporting
Experience with modern data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data transformation tools (e.g., dbt)
Experience with data visualization tools and building dashboards (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Hex, Metabase)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, especially for compliance-critical use cases
Proficiency in any of the following: Kotlin, Rust, Java, Go, C/C++, Python, Ruby, or TypeScript
Experience with modern build systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Preferred Competencies
Experience in fintech or early-stage technology companies
Understanding of financial data, ledgers, and accounting principles
Experience working in Kotlin backends
Experience with Temporal for asynchronous workflow orchestration
