ABOUT THE ROLE
DevOps Engineers at Bright Machines work with a small global team of DevOps specialists and collaborate with our software developers to build, deploy, secure, manage, and optimize highly-available, fault-tolerant, and horizontally scalable systems. You will work directly with Software Engineers at our Yakum location to help improve the efficiency of developers and the scalability of our solutions.
Our software will be deployed on cloud and on-prem and will run our data pipelines and cloud web applications. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing and operating our stack, which Includes -
AWS & Azure as cloud providers
Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and Ansible
Serverless functions (Lambda, Step Functions)
Microservices architecture over Kubernetes
GitLab CI/CD and GitOps practices

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • You will be part of the Cloud and Data group, which owns Bright Machines' entire data pipelines, web applications, and cloud infrastructure
  • Implement new infrastructure features for cutting-edge and multi-cloud products to the latest industry standards
  • Develop, Integrate, and Improve CI/CD pipelines to support software development
  • Maintain and enhance our development and production environment solutions
  • Provide guidance, tools, and support for dev teams on infrastructure-related issues
  • Help define and implement standards and promote best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production support
  • Write clean, maintainable code, and perform peer code-reviews

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or related role
  • Proven track with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with K8S, including familiarity with Helm
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and GitOps methodologies
  • Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days a week
  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana)- Advantage
  • Experienced in writing scripts in Python - Advantage
