ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented and experienced Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Integration technician at Bright Machines, you will play a crucial role in Building, development, and deployment of robotic automation systems, You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, system, vision, robotic engineers, project managers, etc. to deliver cutting-edge automation solutions to our clients.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Design, assemble, and wire automation systems by integrating mechanical, electrical, and control components, including robots, power panels, and control cabinets, to ensure proper functionality. This involves - electrical, mechanical and pneumatical to build our systems, connecting sensors, actuators, controllers, and other components, and conducting thorough testing to verify operational reliability and safety. Compliance with industry standards and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Responsible for managing the integration floor, ensuring it remains well-organized and fully equipped to support efficient and precise work. This includes maintaining an orderly workspace, verifying that all necessary tools and equipment are available, and proactively addressing any shortages or issues.
- Travel up to 15% to customer sites or other office locations within US and Mexico to provide on-site support for field integration. This includes assisting with the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of systems at customer locations. Additionally, train service engineers and client technicians on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure smooth ongoing operations and to empower teams with the skills needed for proper and high system performance.
WHAT WE WANT TO SEE
- 2+ years of experience in a related industry, with a solid understanding of automation systems and processes.
- Familiarity with robots and various automation components, including their setup and operation.
- Proficient with shop tools for assembly, maintenance, and repairs.
- Experience in assembly and testing of automation subsystems and electromechanical mechanisms, ensuring their performance up to spec.
- Experience making electrical wiring and harnesses, ensuring proper connections and functionality in automation systems.
- Skilled in reading and understanding mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assembly drawings to ensure accurate assembly and system integration.
- Problem solver who thrives on challenges and has a keen eye for detail to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills, recognizing their importance in achieving project success.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills: Ability to quickly analyze and resolve complex technical issues in automation systems, electromechanical components, and robots.
- Experience in use of automation software: PLC, HMI, and robot programming (FANUC).
- Leadership in cross-functional team collaboration: Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to implement complex projects.
- Automation safety knowledge: Familiar and understanding of industry safety standards (e.g., ANSI/RIA R15.06, OSHA, ISO 13849, ISO 10218) and ability to ensure safety in system design, testing, and operation.
- Proficient in CAD software: Ability to use tools like SolidWorks for designing and modifying mechanical and electrical systems.
