The only way to ignite change is to build the best team. At Bright Machines®, we’re innovators and experts in our craft who have joined together to create a new category of manufacturing that will help transform the industry. We believe software and data are the answer, thoughtfully applied to solve our customers’ unique challenges. Through intelligent automation, we give factories newfound flexibility, scalability, and resilience. We deliver products to meet the demands of today while building a platform to take advantage of what comes next.
Working with us means you’ll have the opportunity to make lasting, impactful changes for our company and our customers. If you’re ready to apply your exceptional skills to create the factory of the future, we’d love to speak with you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Integration Engineers and Technicians at Bright Machines are on the front lines of bringing our automation systems to life. You’ll build, integrate, and deploy robotic solutions that power our intelligent factories—turning engineering designs into fully functioning, production-ready systems.

This role is hands-on and highly collaborative. You’ll work side-by-side with mechanical, electrical, systems, vision, and robotics engineers, as well as project managers, to ensure our solutions come together seamlessly. From assembly and system bring-up to troubleshooting and deployment, you play a critical role in delivering high-performance automation to our customers.

We move quickly, solve problems in real time, and take pride in building systems that work in the real world. If you enjoy working at the intersection of hardware and innovation—and want to see your impact on the factory floor—this is the role for you.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Design, assemble, and wire automation systems by integrating mechanical, electrical, and control components, including robots, power panels, and control cabinets

  • Perform hands-on work across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, connecting sensors, actuators, and controllers

  • Execute system bring-up, testing, and validation to ensure performance, reliability, and safety

  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and internal quality requirements

  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, systems, vision, and robotics engineers to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance

  • Own and maintain the integration floor, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace

  • Manage tools, equipment, and materials to support high-quality builds and minimize downtime

  • Proactively identify and resolve gaps or issues that could impact productivity

  • Travel up to 15% to customer sites and company locations across the U.S. and Mexico

  • Support on-site installation, system bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting

  • Train service engineers and customer technicians on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure successful deployment and sustained performance

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

    • 2+ years of experience in a related industry, with a solid understanding of automation systems and processes.

    • Familiarity with robots and various automation components, including their setup and operation.

    • Proficient with shop tools for assembly, maintenance, and repairs.

    • Experience in assembly and testing of automation subsystems and electromechanical mechanisms, ensuring their performance up to spec.

    • Experience making electrical wiring and harnesses, ensuring proper connections and functionality in automation systems.

    • Skilled in reading and understanding mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assembly drawings to ensure accurate assembly and system integration.

    • Problem solver who thrives on challenges and has a keen eye for detail to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

    • Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills, recognizing their importance in achieving project success.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD

    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.

    • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills: Ability to quickly analyze and resolve complex technical issues in automation systems, electromechanical components, and robots.

    • Experience in use of automation software: PLC, HMI, and robot programming (FANUC).

    • Leadership in cross-functional team collaboration: Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to implement complex projects.

    • Automation safety knowledge: Familiar and understanding of industry safety standards (e.g., ANSI/RIA R15.06, OSHA, ISO 13849, ISO 10218) and ability to ensure safety in system design, testing, and operation.

      • Proficient in CAD software: Ability to use tools like SolidWorks for designing and modifying mechanical and electrical systems.
