About the team

You’ll join a team responsible for advancing large-scale IoT systems, developing vendor-agnostic factory automation software, and building next-generation Android and backend platforms. The team thrives in a culture of innovation, collaboration, and a shared vision of creating groundbreaking solutions in retail automation.

About the job (what are you going to do)

• Design IoT systems at scale.
• Develop factory automation software that is vendor-agnostic.
• Build the next generation of Android and backend development platforms.
• Create robust infrastructure for internal tooling.
• Participate in the design and implementation of enterprise-level VPN solutions, ensuring high performance and security.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of full-stack experience (web and backend).
• Proficient in Java and Python, familiar with C++ and GoLang.
• Expertise in system design, clean code principles, and OOP.
• Concrete knowledge about operating systems and networks.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written), meeting daily technical development communication needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Owner of GitHub projects with 100+ stars.
• Proficient in Kotlin.
• Experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with mainstream VPN technologies and protocols (e.g., IPSec, OpenVPN, WireGuard, SSL VPN, etc.), with development experience being a plus.
• Deep understanding of underlying network protocols, including but not limited to TCP/IP, UDP, IPSec, IKEv2, and SSL/TLS.
• Knowledge of network security standards and encryption algorithms (e.g., AES, RSA, SHA, etc.), with hands-on deployment experience.
• Proficiency in at least one system-level programming language (e.g., C/C++, Go, etc.) and experience in developing high-performance network services.
• Strong skills in diagnosing and optimizing network communications, with familiarity with common packet capture tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields.

We offer a competitive salary package

At Caper, the total compensation consists of base salary and equity in the form of RSUs (Restricted Stock Units). The job description shows only the base salary component, but we will additionally grant RSUs as a part of our total rewards program (inquiries are welcome).

Caper has our own salary philosophy. The final salary of an offer will have a direct connection with the candidate's experience and skill level presented during the interview.
