ABOUT THE TEAM

The Hardware Supply Chain team is responsible for the end-to-end global supply chain strategy, operations, and management of all CAPER products. The Supply Planning team is one of the most critical functions within the Supply Chain organization.

The Supply Planning Team is transitioning into a 1-to-10/100 stage focused on maturity and scalability. We are evolving from ad-hoc early-stage Supply Planning into a structured, process-driven, and sustainable supply chain organization that supports the scale, standardization, and international expansion of our hardware products.

ABOUT THE JOB

1. Supply Planning, production planning and delivery ensurance

  • Develop raw material procurement plans based on production demand schedules, coordinate raw material supplies to meet trial production and mass production material requirements.
  • Optimize short-term and long-term supply chain plans to achieve dynamic balance between supply and demand.
  • Manage and adjust the supplier's production plan based on end-customer demand
  • Ensure material supply to meet pilot and mass production demand, identify potential supply risks and alert them in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the production department to address special requirements or urgent demands and quickly adjust supply plans.
  • Develop and optimize raw material preparation strategies to reduce overall raw material lead time.
  • Develop overseas warehouse spare parts replenishment plans to ensure material availability for after-sales service.

2.Inventory Management

  • Ensure inventory levels remain at a reasonable level to optimize inventory costs to prevent excess or shortages.
  • Manage Excess & Obsolete (E&O) materials, analyze the reason and collaborate with the cross team to dispose of E & O timely and minimize the materials liabilities.

3. Purchase Order Management

  • Develop procurement plans and coordinate raw material supplies to meet production demands and ensure supply chain continuity.
  • Manage the creation, release, and execution monitoring of purchase orders, ensuring materials are delivered on time.
  • Respond for the pilot run(EVT,DVT and PVT), repair parts and spare parts orders from creation ,release until delivery.

4. SIM Card Procurement Management

  • Manage SIM card procurement and continuously optimize the data usage cost.
  • Develop the US operators’ agents and drive the cost-optimization for SIM card packages.
  • Handle the unexpected issues timely to prevent the network connection disruptions.

5. Cross-Team Collaboration and Support

  • Working closely with the Souring team to ensure the materials samples are delivered to meet the pilot production need date.
  • Collaborate with the production planner, TPM team and the oversea teams to ensure the materials delivery can meet the production need date and project delivery on time.
  • Work with the Quality Department ,R&D and Sourcing team to resolve the materials quality issue.

6. Oversea Warehouse/logistic Management

  • Responsible for the overall management and daily operations of overseas warehouses (North America, Europe, and Australia), including inbound, storage, order processing, shipment, and return processes.
  • Develop and optimize warehouse operation procedures to ensure inventory accuracy, order timeliness, and reduced warehouse operating costs.
  • Handle customs clearance, delivery arrangements, and address any unexpected issues.
  • Plan and allocate warehouse space efficiently, improve the organization of goods placement, and enhance warehouse utilization.
  • Optimization of overseas warehouses and local logistics distribution networks to enhance operational efficiency and optimize operational costs.

ABOUT YOU

  1. Work Experience:At least 8-10 years of working experience in supply chain planning or related roles within the smart hardware industry and overseas warehouse management; familiar with supply chain operations in the electronics manufacturing industry and the processes of overseas warehouse operations.Candidates with experience in production scheduling, inventory management, procurement planning and overseas warehouse management are preferred.
  2. Education Background:Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in supply chain management, business administration, or related fields.
  3. Professional Knowledge:Having basic knowledge about the electrical and mechanical components. Familiarity with the UFIDA ERP system and proficiency in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) calculation logic.
  4. Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  5. Personal Qualities:Exceptional communication and cross-department collaboration skills. Capable of effectively coordinating resources to ensure efficient execution. Strong ability to handle pressure, adapt to fast-paced environments, and manage time effectively. Adept at multitasking and independently handling responsibilities. Strong sense of process optimization and continuous improvement to enhance supply chain efficiency.

We offer a competitive salary package

At Caper, the total compensation consists of base salary and equity in the form of RSUs (Restricted Stock Units). The job description shows only the base salary component, but we will additionally offer additional stock rewards from our parent company, Instacart. As a publicly traded company in the U.S., Instacart's stock can be directly traded on the market and holds potential for appreciation.

Caper has our own salary philosophy. The final salary of an offer will have a direct connection with the candidate's experience and skill level presented during the interview.
