The Hardware Supply Chain team has end-to-end responsibility for the global supply chain management, strategy, and operations of all Caper products. The Supply Planning team is one of the most critical functions within this organization.
The Supply Planning team is in a rapid build-up phase, moving toward stable, efficient operations at a 1-to-10 and then 1-to-100 scale. We are transforming from an exploratory early-stage supply chain planning model into a systematic, process-driven, and sustainable planning organization that supports the scaling, standardization, and globalization of the company’s hardware products

ABOUT THE JOB/主要工作
- Own end‑to‑end planning processes covering demand, material, production, delivery and inventory for AI hardware products, and continuously drive process optimization and operational performance uplift.
- Own S&OP process transformation across different time zones and continents: establish closed‑loop market‑to‑production planning with capacity early‑warning capability, dynamically adjust production priorities per market shifts to cut emergency reallocation; lead strategic alignment meetings to unify sales, finance and factory objectives for better inventory and delivery outcomes.
- Lead the Material & Planning team; organize and align team deliverables in compliance with departmental policies, guidelines and business priorities.
- Drive on‑time‑delivery (OTD) performance jointly with Hardware Engineering, Quality and Sourcing teams to mitigate hardware supply risks amid AI‑driven market demand surges.
- Address long‑lead‑time production/material constraints; conduct timely risk assessment and escalation to key stakeholders for critical supply bottlenecks.
- Resolve data inconsistency between oversea warehouse inventory and production inbound records, improve planning data integrity and reliability.
- Enable effective supply‑demand alignment across cross‑functional stakeholders in China and North America, balance regional demand volatility for AI hardware projects.
- Oversee day‑to‑day international logistics operations, including shipment coordination, carrier management and cross‑border delivery execution; take ownership of logistics cost control and ongoing cost‑saving initiatives.
- Take full ownership of team talent development, capability building, regular performance coaching and formal performance reviews for the planning organization.
- Manage PO execution, payment and cost control within delegated authority; identify bottlenecks and champion internal workflow transformation and efficiency improvements.
- Own excess & obsolescence (E&O) inventory management, ensure accurate inventory‑related reporting for finance closing and business review.
- Perform other ad‑hoc assignments delegated by the Head of Supply Chain Management.

Minimum Qualifications/基本要求
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10‑years hands‑on experience in material / supply planning within hardware industry; minimum 3 years of formal people‑management experience leading planning teams.
- Business‑fluent English proficiency for cross‑regional collaboration with global stakeholders.
- Strong cross‑functional communication, stakeholder alignment and commercial negotiation capabilities.
- Solid data‑driven analytical skills, with proven experience preparing and delivering business presentations to senior leadership.
- Hands-on exposure to AI / smart hardware supply chain is highly preferred.

We offer a competitive salary package
At Caper, the total compensation consists of base salary and equity in the form of RSUs (Restricted Stock Units). The job description shows only the base salary component, but we will additionally offer additional stock rewards from our parent company, Instacart. As a publicly traded company in the U.S., Instacart's stock can be directly traded on the market and holds potential for appreciation.
Caper has our own salary philosophy. The final salary of an offer will have a direct connection with the candidate's experience and skill level presented during the interview.
