We are seeking a Sr. Facilities & Equipment Engineer to be responsible for sustaining tool performance and continuity of operation at our Green Island UV-C LED substrate and R&D facility through management of the preventive and corrective maintenance system. You will work closely with manufacturing personnel to solve problems, minimize disruptions to production, and to perform preventive maintenance and critical repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface closely with manufacturing to ensure that tools are available for production and utilities are delivered to process equipment in a stable and continuous manner.
- Main point of contact for technical assistance with the installation and maintenance of facility and manufacturing equipment. Primary contact for equipment performance related questions and concerns. KPI tracking for work order completion and tool performance. Root cause analysis of equipment malfunctions and failures implement corrective and preventative actions derived from the analysis.
- Implement and Schedule preventative maintenance (PM) activities on facility and production equipment. This role will include Program Management of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Create/Revise controlled procedures for facility and equipment maintenance procedures. Develop and provide training as needed for existing, modified or new equipment or systems. As needed, monitor and assist with performance of preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure inventory of critical spare parts are on hand to minimize production disruptions.
- Maintain documentation of equipment installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Lead the implementation of equipment related projects including construction and equipment upgrades.
- Lead for all Facility & Equipment Vendor Maintenance including coordinating Vendor Maintenance Contracts and On-site service.
- Interface closely with Production Operations to ensure the manufacturing facility is performing and/or expanding in a reliable and cost-effective manner. Including the development and implementation of improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability. Directly involved in new equipment specification, and subsequent installation.
- Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.
- Available 24x7 as technical support for troubleshooting equipment.
- Is authorized to initiate and approve Work Orders (Facility/Equipment maintenance)
- Is authorized to initiate Change Requests.
- Is authorized to initiate changes to controlled documents such as work instructions.
- Has authority to adjust equipment and instrumentation within defined parameter limits.
- Is authorized to approve purchase requisitions for purchases less than $500.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred), Bachelor’s Degree of Science in another technical field of study with applicable work experience, and/or equivalent Military experience and Academic education.
- Minimum of 3 years of Electrical, Mechanical, Control systems, or similar industrial applications within a manufacturing environment experience in. Role requires an understanding and experience in complex mechanical systems such as: chiller plants, cooling water, electrical, emergency generator, compressed gas and HVAC make up and recirculation air systems. Preferred maintenance, operations or process experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Must have MS Office application skills. Preferred experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and or relational database management systems (e.g. MS Access).
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, technical manuals and operations specifications.
- Demonstrated work performance in a fast-paced environment requiring a high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
- Self-starter and a team player with excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Fluent in English Language – written & verbal
- Understanding of permits and regulatory compliances.
- Safety First philosophy with adherence to procedural compliance.
- Preferred experience with industrial PLCs from manufactures like Allen Bradley or Siemens.
The base compensation range for this role is $96,000-120,000. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
