Job Description:
The Sr. Manager, Forecasting and Analytics is responsible for developing, managing, and refining accurate forecasts that inform strategic planning, resource allocation, and commercial execution across the organization. This role blends tactical rigor with strategic insight—ensuring data inputs are reliable, methodologies are sound, and outputs provide clear visibility into product demand, revenue trends, and market dynamics.
As a trusted partner to senior leadership, the incumbent works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Market Access, and Business Intelligence teams to align assumptions, validate scenarios, and guide decision-making. By combining quantitative modeling, historical performance analysis, and forward-looking market intelligence, the incumbent provides clarity in an evolving landscape—helping the Company optimize inventory, anticipate risks and opportunities, and support growth objectives with confidence and precision.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Forecast Leadership:
- Leads the development, maintenance, and refinement of product forecasts, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Provides senior leadership with a clear line of sight into short-term performance and long-term projections.
Cross-Functional Partnership:
- Collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, and Business Intelligence teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and integrate cross-functional perspectives into forecasting models.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for forecasting discussions across the enterprise.
Modeling & Scenario Planning:
- Designs and executes robust forecasting models, including scenario analyses, sensitivity testing, and “what-if” simulations to support strategic planning and risk mitigation.
- Applies advanced analytical techniques to evaluate potential outcomes under varying market conditions.
Insight Generation:
- Translates complex data and forecasts into clear, actionable insights that inform commercial strategies, resource allocation, and senior leadership decision-making.
- Highlights key forecast drivers and recommend actions to optimize performance.
Presentation & Communication:
- Prepares and delivers forecast presentations to executives and cross-functional stakeholders, effectively communicating key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Influences decision-making by articulating both the numbers and the underlying story.
Market Intelligence Integration:
- Incorporates external data sources, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics into forecasting processes to ensure forward-looking accuracy and relevance.
- Monitors and reports on competitor events, regulatory changes, and market shifts that may impact forecasts.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluates and enhances forecasting methodologies, tools, and processes to increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Champions the adoption of best practices and new technologies to strengthen forecasting capabilities.
Forecast Governance:
- Establishes and maintains forecasting standards, documentation, and version control to ensure consistency and credibility across the organization.
- Provides training and guidance to cross-functional partners on forecast methodology and interpretation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- BS/BA in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in forecasting, analytics, or commercial insights within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
- Proven ability to design, manage, and refine forecasting models that support both tactical execution and long-term strategic planning.
- Experience applying scenario modeling, sensitivity testing, and advanced analytics to guide business decisions.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to integrate market intelligence, competitive insights, and cross-functional input into forecasting processes.
- Demonstrated success presenting complex forecasts and insights to senior leadership and influencing strategic direction.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and forecasting tools; experience with Power BI, Qlik, Microsoft D365 ERP and Oracle EPM forecasting software systems,, and other BI platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and reliability in outputs.
- Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Market Access to align on assumptions and outcomes.
