About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Manufacturing Tech – Night Shift to be a part of the production team based in Concord, NC. This position directly reports to the Production Supervisor and does not supervise others.
Starting Pay & Sign-on Bonus
This position starts at $18.50/hour plus a $1.20 shift premium for working night shift. There is opportunity for overtime, which is time and a half. $1000.00 Sign-on bonus with the first half being paid after the first week of employment and the second half after 6 months of employment.
Shift
This is a night shift position working 5:50pm-6:00am (12 hour shifts) on a 2-2-3 schedule. The site runs 24/7.
Qualifications
Education Background:
•High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment required
- Good attendance and safety records.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and set-up / operate multiple machines.
- Computer skills and the ability to learn different software programs and scanners.

- Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution/solving skills.
Key Accountabilities
- Operate various types of industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment including: Extruders, Laminators, Ovens, Deplyers, Slitters, Coaters, Mixers, and Core Slabber. Utilize PIVs (powered industrial vehicles)
- •Prepare chemical solutions and monitor chemical processes. Use instruments to test the quality of chemical products to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
- •Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.
- •Practice excellent safety and environmentally sound habits.
- •Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets facility standards.
- •Ensure general quality of all work meets company standards.
- •Maintain records and interface with multiple computer software programs for purposes of material transactions, traceability, process control, on-line inspection, testing, and statistical process control.
- •Perform routine optical inspection and product quality tests according to written specifications and standards.
- •Maintain accurate logbook entries of key process and equipment events, and provide in-depth observations to process and development engineers as required.
- •Clean assigned production equipment and perform operator-level preventive maintenance (i.e. change filters, check fluid levels).
- •Communicate effectively with team members and other groups within the Celgard organization. Act as communication link with other departments when assigned.
- •Maintain training and cross-training proficiencies as required to ensure compliance in execution of daily activities and departmental expectations.
- •Train others (new and current employees) as needed.
- •Ensure breaks and lunches are taken per policy and time is not abused.
- •Support managing all data and working with Supply Chain and operations to ensure production throughput is maximized.
- •Identify areas of potential process improvement and communicate accordingly.
- •Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices regulations
- •Maintain a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-workers.
- •Participate in cross-functional teams. Lead meetings as needed. Serve on team roles as assigned.
- •Must keep all Celgard information CONFIDENTIAL.

Working Environment
This position is in a manufacturing plant setting that would require working in a production environment around chemicals. Work will require standing and walking for up to 80% of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate. You may be required to lift up to 35 pounds and/or force necessary to push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
