Summary:
This position is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new leads to support expanding the business. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter who enjoys identifying and developing new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, online engagements, prospect lists, event leads, contacts, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to build relationships and reach decision makers is essential! This role is critical in supporting biopharmaceutical companies to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Develop and cultivate new relationships by identifying and engaging high potential leads across a variety of sources; nurture those leads into new business accounts
- Possess a deep understanding of outbound prospecting including but not limited to script development, target account management, and engaging in social media for prospecting and securing appointments
- Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel
- Manage data for new and prospective customers ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate, and relevant documents are attached
- Conduct research to identify potential prospects and work with multiple team members to cultivate prospect lists
- Follow up on leads from key events or campaigns
- Work with team to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals
- Collaborate with team members to identify emerging verticals and to conduct data-driven communication with prospects
- Completes and reports on assignments within the established timeframe
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities and industry trends, including US and global regulatory requirements for biologicals
- Ability and willingness to travel 25%+ of the time when appropriate
- Attend industry meetings, conferences, and seminars
- Exercise independent judgement and discretion to make decisions affecting the organization
- Supports and contributes to the achievement of departmental goals
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or technical/scientific related field from an accredited college/university
- Understanding of GMP principles and regulatory requirements in biopharma manufacturing is a plus.
- Capable of making 30+ phone calls and scheduling up to 5 appointments daily
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Must possess strong time management skills to be able to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure
- Ability to effectively solve problems
- Creative and able to adapt quickly to change
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with targeted display, mobile and video marketing strategies, social media, and traditional campaigns
- Goal oriented with a strong drive to meet individual, team, and company goals
- Must possess a valid driver’s license/passport for required travel
- Experience utilizing Salesforce software preferred
- Ability and willingness to work remotely
- Reliable internet connectivity to support remote work including video calls
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting on a chair, working at a desk and working on a computer and/or telephone
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Pay Rate:
- The base compensation range for this role is between $62,500/yr - $70,000/yr. The actual compensation is commensurate with experience.
- Additional variable compensation based on uncapped sales commission plan
