At Databricks, our core values are at the heart of everything we do. Creating a culture of proactiveness and a customer-centric mindset guides us to create a unified platform that makes data science and analytics accessible to everyone. We aim to inspire our customers to make informed decisions that push their business forward. We provide a user-friendly and intuitive platform that makes it easy to turn insights into action and fosters a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

As a Field Engineering Senior Manager for Strategic Accounts in the Benelux region, you will lead a team of experienced pre-sales Solutions Architects. You will lead the continued expansion of our Strategic Accounts in the Benelux Region and play a key role in hiring to grow the technical pre-sales teams. Your experience partnering with the sales organisation will help close revenue with the right approach in highly complex environments. You will coach, mentor, guide and get involved to enhance your team's effectiveness, be an expert at communicating complex, business value-focused solutions, support complex sales cycles, and build relationships with important partners and stakeholders in large corporations.

Join us in our quest to change how people work with data and make a better world!

The impact you will have:

  • Manage an existing and growing pre-sales team in the Netherlands; hiring, mentoring, and developing the team.
  • Build a motivated, collaborative culture within a hyper-growth team to embody and promote Databricks customer-obsessed, teamwork and diverse culture
  • Support increased return on investment of SA involvement in sales cycles
  • Ensure a solution and value-based selling within the field-engineering organisation
  • Display an understanding of needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region
  • Engage with key customer executives to build and strengthen strategic partnerships
  • Ensure close alignment with partners and internal services to secure implementation strategies within accounts
  • Continue to build Databricks' brand in partnership with the Leadership team, Marketing and Sales teams across the region.

What we look for:

  • Seasoned people management experience, leading teams of successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals
  • Experience mentoring and scaling technical teams; developing teams to operate in a fungible, interchangeable capacity across a region will be advantageous
  • Success in instituting processes for technical field members to drive efficiency and product focus
  • Experience in working with or selling to large and complex organisations
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with Sales and other cross-functional leaders
  • Technical or consulting background with proximity to Cloud and Data/AI technologies.
  • Passionate about the Data and AI ecosystem and and able to deliver a strong POV on the value proposition of Databricks in the market.
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence to influence and partner effectively with C-level stakeholders.
