Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).


Echodyne is seeking an experienced Controller who is ready to lead and oversee Echodyne’s financial records and accounting team. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the Company's financial accounts.

A CPA is required. A blend of public accounting and industry experience is also needed. This person must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a growing company. Strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge are prerequisites.


The Controller will partner with the VP Accounting & Finance and play a critical role in continuing to build a world-class accounting function to help scale and support the Company’s rapidly growing business. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, supply chain, and executive leadership to drive efficiency, improve cost visibility, and support long-term business growth. The Controller will drive and implement processes to strengthen the control environment and develop best-in-class processes using system automation and relevant tools. This candidate will be responsible for producing timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP to inform our management team, investors, and financial partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the overall direction and coordination of the accounting department
  • Perform and complete the month-end close, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations for one operating company
  • Lead in the development and coordination of a best-in-class financial accounting organization that will support the Company's long-term growth strategy
  • Manage Oracle NetSuite integrations with other critical systems
  • Performance and oversight of cost and inventory analysis
  • Manage, maintain, and build all accounting functions including billing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, inventory and general ledger
  • Manage annual PCAOB audit performed by PWC
  • Coordinate insurance and benefits with HR
  • Manage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings such as sales tax, property tax and others
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure conformance and compliance with GAAP and other statutory requirements
  • In charge of treasury management
  • Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the business

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA and bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
  • Experience managing NetSuite in a Manufacturing environment a plus
  • Experience with pre-IPO preparations and public company internal control requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years with proven accounting experience with a mid-sized company with a focus on manufacturing, inventory and costing systems
  • Outstanding technical accounting skills; demonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP including ASC 606, ASC 842 and ASC 330
  • Knowledge of inventory valuation, costing methods and physical count procedures
  • Advanced skills and experience in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation, and report presentation
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Analyze problems, present facts, make recommendations and implement solutions.

WHAT WE OFFER
The pay range for this position is $145,300 - $217,900 annually.
