Your Role in Our Mission

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant/Associate – Night Shift to support our research and laboratory operations during overnight hours. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on laboratory work, problem-solving, and ensuring seamless continuity of research activities between shifts. The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring experiments, maintaining laboratory readiness, and ensuring safety and operational excellence throughout the night.

What You’ll Do:

  • Monitor overnight reactions, experiments, and laboratory equipment to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.

  • Perform safety checks, respond to alarms or incidents, and escalate issues when required.

  • Monitor temperature-sensitive storage units and manage backup storage transfers when necessary.

  • Maintain chemical and glassware inventories and identify items requiring replenishment.

  • Prepare laboratory consumables, including TLC plates and staining reagents, for day-shift activities.

  • Document overnight activities and provide clear handover notes to the incoming team.

  • Collaborate with day-shift researchers to support project objectives and laboratory readiness.

We're Looking For:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry or a related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience.

  • Hands-on knowledge of laboratory operations and standard organic synthesis techniques.

  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and make sound decisions during night shifts.

  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety practices and emergency procedures.

  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills
