The Director, Accounting will play a vital role in leading and enhancing the Company’s accounting and reporting function as we continue to grow and scale the business.
Reporting to the VP, Finance, you will lead all aspects of the company’s accounting processes, from overseeing day-to-day financial operations to automation and transformation of the function. This role will require a hands-on leader with experience in scaling accounting systems, managing complex financial transactions, and driving operational efficiencies within a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:
- Lead, coach, and mentor members of the accounting team so that each individual not only contributes their best work but also grows in the process.
- Set the overall strategic direction for the accounting function, providing leadership and oversight over financial reporting and accounting operations.
- Own and manage the full month-end close process, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, in accordance with GAAP, and ensure that meaningful reporting is provided to leadership for decision making.
- Own the accounting automation and technology roadmap to drive meaningful efficiency in the function.
- Prepare month-end financial reporting package and corresponding commentary for distribution to executive leadership.
- Review bi-weekly payroll runs to ensure complete and accurate pay and stay up to date with laws and regulations.
- Work with Accounting Operations (AR, procurement, and AP) to ensure the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes are optimized to support the business and appropriate internal controls are in place.
- Work with the Director of Tax and Treasury to ensure appropriate reporting/filing for tax compliance, and ensure the Company is strategically positioned for optimal tax outcomes.
- Partner with the VP, Finance and CFO on various ad hoc finance and accounting related matters to ensure relevant accounting implications are considered and the appropriate processes/infrastructure is in place to appropriately account for new initiatives.
- Partner with the Company’s external auditors to ensure timely and smooth annual financial statement audits.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure consistency between accounting policies and financial forecasts.
- Partner with the Investor Relations team on timely financial reporting to our investors and board on company financial performance.
- Drive accounting support of strategic finance efforts, such as M&A and capital raising.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required from an accredited college or university (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certified Public Accountant.
- 8+ years of professional, progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments, with a demonstrated ability to scale accounting processes and teams.
- Intercompany experience
- SEC/financial reporting experience
- Experience with NetSuite
