The Elevator Pitch

Are you an expert at channel sales operations? Does long term expansion of channel and overlaying operational functions excite you? Look no further!

Evolv Technology is looking for our first Senior Manager of Channel Operations to manage and support the growth of our channel business operationally. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operational activities involved with the channel at Evolv and make it easier to do business with us thru channel process efficiencies, removing roadblocks, and developing strong internal partnerships.

Success in the Role: What are performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

In the first 30 days, you will:

  • Get to know team members within the channel and revenue organizations, including understanding their current roles, handoffs, and pain points
  • Start to build relationships with key stakeholders cross-functionally
  • Start gaining an understanding of the channel programs and processes designed by the VP of Channel Sales and begin to outline a strategy for implementing and operationalizing the processes and corresponding supporting tools/systems

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Begin to make an impact by partnering with the VP of Channel Sales to implement and operationalize Channel processes and programs developed by VP
  • Fully operationalize an effective channel deal registration process
  • Begin to establish channel data reporting and dashboards in Salesforce
  • Establish key partnerships with Channel Account Managers and other channel team members
  • Gain an understanding of Channel Partner portals and begin implementing effective pricelist and item management processes
  • Begin to make an impact on administering Channel Partner contracts with legal
  • Establish an understanding of and operationalize third-party distributor processes and operations required for purchase deal transactions to be successful
  • Demonstrate team engagement and being a team player

By the end of the first year, you will:

  • Form solid partnerships with the revenue applications team and operationalize all channel systems functionality enhancement requirements
  • Be able to manage all Channel Partner Logo and sub-regional account structures in Salesforce
  • Measure all Evolv and Channel Partner KPIs established by the VP of Channel Sales
  • Become the project manager for the implementation and operationalization of any new tools or systems related to channel sales success.
  • Effectively work with cross-functional teams in establishing data/reporting, system workflows, and overall operational governance for the channel program.
  • Make it easier to do business with us thru Channel process efficiencies, removing roadblocks, and development of strong internal partnerships.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Partner with VP of Channel Sales to implement and operationalize channel processes and programs developed by the VP
  • Oversee and manage the partner deal registration process and ensure it is being followed properly.
  • Partner with the revenue applications team to operationalize all channel systems functionality enhancement requirements (i.e. Channeltivity, Salesforce)
  • Manage all channel data reporting and dashboards in Salesforce to track KPIs developed by the VP of Channel Sales.
  • Partner daily with all Channel Account Managers to effectively follow processes and programs and reinforce the practice of good hygiene with systems
  • Manage all applicable Channel Partner portals and oversee pricelist management with Channel Partners.
  • Manage all Channel Partner Logo and sub-regional account structures in Salesforce.
  • Measure Evolv and Partner KPIs established by the VP of Channel Sales, including deal registrations, pipeline, sales, installations, revenue, service, support, and margin.
  • Manage and provide administration of partner agreements/partner contracting working in coordination with legal.
  • Project manage the implementation and operationalization of any new tools or systems identified by the VP of Channel Sales that ensure partners have access to systems and tools to support customers throughout the life cycle.
  • Manage all of the third-party distributor processes and operations to ensure successful transactions for purchase deals.
  • Train and assist all Sales Team members on third-party distributor processes and sales motion.
  • Serve as the Focal point for ensuring the accuracy of hardware purchase orders placed through our third-party distributor, in advance of shipment, by authorized Channel Partners.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish data/reporting, system workflows, and overall operational governance for the program.
  • Demonstrate team engagement, acting as a team player, evidenced by positive feedback from the organization.

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team?

  • The Senior Manager of Channel Operations will report to the Director of Sales Operations, will work closely with the VP of Channel Sales and the Channel Account Management team, and work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, product, sales ops, and legal

Where is the role located?

  • The location of this role is preferred in Waltham, MA, but is flexible in the continental United States, with the expectation that there would be occasional travel to our headquarters located in Waltham, Massachusetts, and work eastern time zone.
