As the Office Manager at Impulse, you will lead the day-to-day operations in our new manufacturing facility in the Greater Boulder area. This role acts as a key liaison between departments, vendors, and leadership to maintain operational excellence. Supporting a team of 20–50 employees, primarily in manufacturing and software engineering, this position is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office, overseeing administrative support functions, optimizing office processes, and facilitating a productive and efficient work environment.

Reporting To

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison with building management, external service providers, engineering leads and Redondo HQ leadership
  • Create and implement systems and processes to manage day-to-day operations and maintenance
  • Serve as primary point of contact for IT coordination, janitorial requests, and general facilities support
  • Manage vendor relationships for office and F&B supplies, including budget tracking
  • Manage and maintain office supplies, office equipment and food & beverage deliveries and stocking
  • Manage shipping and receiving logistics, including accepting deliveries and preparing outgoing shipments
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, guests, contractors, and vendors using the company’s existing security and visitor management systems
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including desk setup and access management
  • Organize local cultural initiatives (such as team events, celebrations, morale boosting activities, etc.) ensuring local team experiences are consistent with company-wide initiatives and communication
  • Manage office space planning to ensure the workplace can accommodate current and future headcount needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 4+ years in office or facilities management, or a similar operations-focused role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and efficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); ability to quickly learn new software tools
  • Proficiency with project management and process documentation tools (Jira, Confluence)


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with front desk/reception duties and use of visitor or security management platforms
  • Exposure to basic HR functions or employee-facing support tasks
  • Experience managing office or facility tickets, inventory systems, or purchase orders
  • Experience managing people is a plus
  • Experience space planning and coordinating offices moves
  • Forklift operation experience or certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Boulder area and surrounding amenities is helpful
  • Proactive problem-solver with the flexibility to adapt to evolving needs and take initiative
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information:

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
