As an Avionics Manufacturing Engineer (Harnessing) at Impulse, you will own the build and testing of harnessing in production across our vehicles. Your expertise will directly impact the reliability and performance of the systems we send into orbit and beyond.

Responsibilities
- Develop, qualify and optimize manufacturing processes for harnessing.
- Collaborate with harnessing design engineers to ensure manufacturability, drawing review and DFM/DFA of harnessing.
- Own work instructions for harness manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality and long-term reliability.
- Provide day-to-day support to harnessing technicians on the production floor.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and drive implementation of corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Support environmental and functional testing in production.
- Optimize production rate, yield and cost of wire harness production.
- Ensure timely delivery of harnessing to Integration team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in harness manufacturing to drive innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of demonstrated manufacturing experience with harnessing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in harness manufacturing for space applications
- Experience in hardware development for space applications.
- Proficient in mechanical design using Siemens/NX
- Background in design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and continuous improvement methods for harnessing.
Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
