As the Logistics Control at Impulse, you will help design, implement, and own the systems that govern how material, hardware, and inventory flow through the company. This role goes beyond traditional shipping and receiving — it is responsible for building logistics infrastructure from the ground up, establishing repeatable processes, and ensuring accurate, scalable control of inventory across engineering, manufacturing, and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end logistics and inventory control processes, including material flow, storage strategy, and traceability
  • Build and maintain structured physical and digital inventory systems that support scalability and auditability
  • Create and own standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics, inventory management, and material handling
  • Continuously improve processes to reduce errors, delays, and manual work while supporting program timelines
  • Configure, maintain, and ensure data integrity within ERP/MRP and inventory management systems
  • Execute on day-to-day shipping & receiving transactions
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and finance to align logistics systems with operational needs
  • Provide oversight and guidance for shipping and receiving activities, stepping in hands-on when necessary to validate or improve processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience designing or managing inventory and logistics processes in a manufacturing, aerospace, or hardware environment
  • Strong computer proficiency, including ERP/MRP systems, spreadsheets, and inventory tools
  • Ability to build processes from scratch and document them clearly
  • High attention to detail with a systems-thinking mindset

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of demosntrated experience in aerospace, space systems, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with inventory control best practices (cycle counts, ABC analysis, lot/serial tracking)
  • Experience standing up logistics systems in a fast-growing or early-stage company

Additional Information:

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
