As a Senior MuleSoft Integration Engineer at Impulse Space, you will be the architectural backbone connecting our mission-critical business and manufacturing systems. You will own the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance integrations across our entire ecosystem—from finance and HR to the factory floor. At Impulse, we move fast; you will be responsible for ensuring that our data moves even faster, enabling a seamless flow of information between our ERP, MES, and PLM systems to support rapid spacecraft production and mission execution.

Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on enterprise integrations.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, or On-Prem).
- Demonstrated experience of integration concepts: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, DataWeave, and OAuth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Architect & Build: Design and implement robust, scalable, and reusable integration patterns using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to connect COTS systems (ERP, MES, PLM, HRIS).
- Stateless Optimization: Configure and manage MuleSoft environments to support stateless application architectures, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance for critical business processes.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to translate complex business requirements into technical integration specifications.
- Lifecycle Management: Own the full development lifecycle, including API design (RAML/OAS), implementation, unit testing, and deployment (CI/CD).
- System Synchronization: Ensure real-time data integrity between engineering design (PLM), production execution (MES), and financial/supply chain management (ERP).
- Performance Monitoring: Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting for all integrations to minimize downtime and ensure 24/7 reliability for flight-critical operations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Strong foundational knowledge of business domains including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Experience integrating large-scale COTS systems such as ERP (e.g., Infor, SAP, Oracle), MES (e.g., Ion, Solumina), and PLM (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
- MuleSoft Certified Developer or Integration Architect.
- Experience in a high-growth startup or aerospace environment where speed and precision are paramount.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern cloud providers (AWS preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build integrations that support stateless applications and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and real-time data streaming (e.g., Kafka).
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to drive positive outcomes in ill-defined or rapidly changing environments.
Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
