Our Production Control team is a critical part of our supply chain, responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of work required to build a variety of Impulse products. As a Production Control Supervisor at Impulse, you will oversee day-to-day production control activities and drive schedule execution to meet customer commitments. You will play a key role in leading continuous improvement efforts to optimize production planning, workflow visibility, and on-time delivery across our facilities.

Responsibilities
- Lead daily production control activities, including planning, scheduling, and work order management
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and internal milestones
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), capacity constraints, and material availability to proactively address delays
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
- Ensure accurate ERP/MRP system data, including job status, routing, and inventory transactions
- Drive schedule adherence and implement corrective actions for production variances
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and transition from R&D to full-rate production
- Analyze production metrics (on-time delivery, lead time, throughput) and implement process improvements
- Supervise and mentor production control/planning staff as applicable
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, including AS9100 and internal quality requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in production control, planning, or scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong understanding of production workflows, capacity planning, and inventory control
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality management systems
- Experience supporting R&D-to-production or low-rate initial production environments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency with tools such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel or data visualization tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
