We are looking for a NPI Engineer to join As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer , you will be the vital link between R&D and Production. You will take ownership of the transition process, ensuring that our high-precision systems, including sophisticated mechanical and fiber-optic assemblies, move from design to scalable, high-quality manufacturing.This is a "hands-on" role that requires a deep understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing technologies, as well as the ability to solve complex integration challenges on the factory floor.
**The position involves on-site work in one of our sites- Gan Shomron**
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end "Transfer to Production" (TTP) process for new products and sub-assemblies.
- Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews to optimize production costs, yield, and reliability.
- Build and maintain complex Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM) and manage engineering changes (ECO/ECR) within the PLM system.
- Design and oversee the fabrication of specialized assembly tools, fixtures, and jigs to streamline production.
- Create detailed Work Instructions (WI), routing procedures, and assembly manuals for the production team.
- Analyze production line failures and implement technical solutions to improve throughput and quality.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in NPI or Production Engineering within a high-tech/defense multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD) and experience working with PLM/ERP systems (e.g., Priority, Agile, or SAP).
- Proven experience with various manufacturing technologies (machining, plastic injection, 3D printing) and assembly of precise mechanical systems.
- A "Can-do" attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment (ARO).
- Excellent Hebrew and English (both written and verbal) to collaborate with global vendors and internal teams.
Nice to have:
- Experience with fiber-optic assembly or electronic integration.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and defense-industry quality regulations.
- Experience in designing production lines for "Clean Room" or ESD-sensitive environments.
