Accountant

Latch is looking for an extraordinarily talented Accountant to join our global finance organization to support the accounting function. This role will report to the Director of Accounting and partner closely with various members across the entire organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including purchases, sales, and adjustments.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of inventory balances to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
  • Assist with the management of cash transactions, including recording deposits, disbursements, and bank reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory and cash-related discrepancies and issues.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and assisting with audit inquiries.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the accounting leadership team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function.
  • Assist in creation of policies and desktop procedures.
  • Conduct mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel.
  • Enhance overall control environment and ensure SOX compliance and business adherence to control processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Prior accounting experience, with exposure to inventory and cash management.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  • Inventory accounting experience is is preferred,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • NetSuite accounting software and warehouse management systems is highly desired
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self starter with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Problem solver with the ability to identify discrepancies and provide solutions
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize effectively.
