About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director, Sales Development to help us lead a high performing Sales Development Team contrived of the best talent, exceed pipeline goals and prepare Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to become the best Account Executives in the industry. #LI-Remote

What you will do:

  • Lead a high-performing team of SDRs and SDR managers who consistently overachieve on aggressive goals and will continue to grow their career at Matterport
  • Lead a sales team who is responsible for overachieving quota with transactional deals with small customers
  • Create and execute strategies to deliver high quality pipeline across segments to meet the needs of the business
  • Create and optimize repeatable processes related to lead flow and pipeline generation
  • Own and drive execution of Matterport’s new business pipeline goals by understanding and analyzing top of the funnel metrics, pipeline quality, and revenue influenced across Enterprise and Mid Market segments
  • Shape deep partnerships with Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, and Enablement teams to successfully collaborate on new marketing campaigns and field events, meet stretch pipeline goals, optimize your business for efficiency, accelerating ramp time to productivity, and ensure your team has a crisp understanding of Matterport knowledge
  • Attract, hire, develop, and retain world-class SDR talent
  • Build and coach high-performing SDRs to become the next high-performing Account Executives
  • Hire, coach and develop your team
  • Deliver consistent bookings with online sales team
  • Work across regions to develop and share best practices to maximize success for all SDR teams
  • Duties of the role may change subject to the needs of the business

Who you are:

  • 8+ years of SDR leadership experience with a track record of excellence leading high performing, pipeline generation, and closing organizations in a fast-growing high technology company
  • 10-12+ years sales experience
  • Are excited by attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining world-class talent early in their Sales and Management careers
  • Feel a deep sense of ownership, accountability, pride, and passion for your work
  • Are strategic enough to build a team, but tactical enough to execute on a day-to-day basis
  • Have a reputation with cross-functional teams as being collaborative, innovative, accountable, and reliable
  • Have an obsession with being data-driven, highly analytical, lead through influence, are a structured thinker
  • Think big by working to achieve a deep understanding of predictable revenue models, mastery of sales development, and value selling practices as well as leadership philosophy and development
  • Demonstrated experience building and developing teams in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent presentation skills internally and externally with customers, both in-person and remote
  • Strong ability to coach, mentor and develop teams
  • Have deep experience working with Salesforce
  • Desirable to have knowledge of Google Doc Suite and Groove
  • Travel up to 25% or as business needs dictate

    The US On Target Earnings for this full-time position is $157,700 to 328,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
