In only a few years, we’ve provided low-cost, high-quality medicines to hundreds of thousands of patients across seven African countries (Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Malawi & Rwanda).

Position Description

mPharma Ghana is seeking a nurse to support our virtual consultation service; mutti Doctor, as a Care Coordinator. The mutti Doctor service provides virtual consultation to clients at mutti pharmacies nationwide. The Care Coordinator would be responsible for providing exceptional client care by managing post-consultation follow-ups, medication reminders, and assisting at community health screenings.
This role is crucial in ensuring patient adherence to treatment plans and identifying potential health concerns.

This role is on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Follow-Up: Contact patients post-consultation to address questions, and concerns, and provide necessary information.
  • Appointment Reminders: Provide timely reminders of upcoming appointments, ensuring patients are well-prepared and informed.
  • Test and Treatment Reminders: Keep patients informed about scheduled tests, procedures, and ongoing treatment plans.
  • Medication Refills: Assist patients in managing their medication refills, ensuring they have a consistent supply.
  • Patient Education: Provide clear and concise information to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
  • Data Entry: Accurately record patient interactions and update their medical records.
  • Problem Resolution: Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Recommend primary care programmes to clients; Diabetes Test & Treat, Hypertension Test & Treat Wellness programmes etc
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports on all activities
  • Keep a shared log of functional/process improvements/issues for iterative purposes
  • Build sustainable relationships and engage customers
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of health records at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Health Services Manager.

  • Fluent in English and local dialects with excellent writing, verbal, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills - Ability to explain complex health concerns/conditions to clients simply.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for mPharma’s mission to increase the accessibility and affordability of high-quality medicines
  • A strong work ethic and a proactive “can do” attitude that requires minimal supervision
  • Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Flexibility – Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and work responsibilities.
  • Works effectively as a team member and promotes collaboration within and outside the immediate team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Registered nurse in Ghana
  • Current Practicing License.
  • Experience working in a Call Centre is an advantage
